Supportive Housing provides individuals the opportunity to
enhance their quality of life through the development and
maintenance of independent living skills, personal skills
and coping skills.
Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, the
Homelessness Initiative Program (HIP 2) aims to develop housing
spaces and supports for people with serious mental illness
who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless through
the provision of rental subsidies. Applicants may refer themselves
to the program or be referred by family or friends, mental
health or social agencies, by hospitals or other sources.
